Caring - Intuitive - Connecting

” … I honestly can't imagine the experience being as positive and meaningful with anyone else than you. You are intuitive, insightful, empathetic, fun, and more.

It doesn't get any better than that!!

Thank you for the opportunity to invite you into
my journey and for the honor of being a part of yours.”

I didn’t think I would look forward to therapy, bahahaha!

I am grateful for Marilyn’s energies.

Let's start with what Art Therapy is is NOT:

  • It is NOT an art class (but it can be if that helps you feel better).

  • I

t is NOT about having any art skills.

IN FACT, It is preferred that you NOT be good at art!!!

So, what is Art Therapy?

  • It’s an intuitive process, where color, materials, and conversation access the wonderful, loving, and wise Inner Self in a creative way to help you find the answers you’re looking for!

FOR EXAMPLE:

A client called me to process her grief over the death of a loved one.

She began session #1 by …..

  • tearing out several red hearts from red construction paper (see image above),

  • then she tore the hearts in half, sobbing about her own now broken heart.

  • Then she noticed some of the heart pieces had flipped over, creating a mended butterfly.

  • She gasped! For her, in that moment, the butterfly became a powerfully image loaded with maning about eternity, transformation, Love, promise, and more.

  • A deep shift then occurred within her, where she knew-that-she-knew that a deep peace had exceeded her logic to engulf her in a calming reassurance.

I didn’t see her again, as her healing journey had now begun and one session was enough.

Just that simple!

Just that magical, transformative, and profound!

Testimonials

ImpARTations

“I so enjoyed this workshop. It takes you away from the typical way of doing things. Art brings character and freedom to express myself when I dont know the words to how I feel. It brings a power that is untouchable through site and emotion. Thank you. “

– M.A.R.

(collage on paper)

“Thank you for such a beautiful, magical, positive session. It was much needed. Bless you.”

– H.A.

“I was at a place where I thought I had no where to go. But after some sessions with Marilyn and some markers, I just knew that I knew that Jack’s beanstalk was getting ready to take off for me! GREAT insight!”

– A. B.

(felt markers on lined binder paper)

“I thought I was stuck. Marilyn let me use my phone to sketch a tiger from (because a tiger was the image that came up for me right at the beginning of the session) and from there I used markers to let out of me the feeling of stuckness. It worked! I left floating on air!

– W. S.

(felt markers on paper)

“I came to the session ready to—well, I can’t say that. But let’s say I felt intense. But after getting that rage and sadness onto the page with charcoal and cream pastels, and after talking it out with Marilyn, I realized The Stuff and The Crap wasn’t about me. It was about Them. That realization made me feel better. A LOT better. very powerful experience!”

– M. M.

(charcoal and pastels on computer paper)

“I came depleted and feeling empty. I left with the absolute truth that my life is full, that there is so much more, and that the secret is to pause, reflect, be grateful—and SEE WHAT’S AROUND ME! Thank you, Marilyn.”

– B. B.

(magazine cut outs and wrapping paper)

“Who knew. A bit of paint on tin foil, some very powerful finger painting, and a good long sit and stare—and all of a sudden it was crystal clear what had been holding me back. And what I needed to believe and do next to get me out that trapped feeling. I can’t recommend this process enough! And Marilyn is so gentle and safe and spooky-spot on in guiding me to the “ah-ha!”.

– T. V.

(tin foil, acrylic paint, fingers)

“I’ve been wanting to write my book for years! But I just couldn’t get started. After this amazing session, that book just poured out of me onto my facebook page where tons of people shared my wild and crazy escapades. Profound unblocking! Thank you, Marilyn.”

– M. B.

(collage, ribbon, buttons, yarn, fabric, an old belt…and more!)

“I couldn’t believe it! I used my phone to take a picture of the part of my bike that was “most tugging at my heart”. From this photo I discovered beliefs that I had been ignoring and suffering because I had been ignoring them. This was an extremely effective art assignment!”

– L.K.

(phone camera, favorite bike)

“Who would have thought a cookie sheet and a lump of clay would have helped me! Marilyn is ingenious at choosing the exact materials to get an insight to come to the surface. ”

– A.L.

(cookie sheet, clay)

“Marilyn had me gather all the art I made over the last 30 years which I had stored away and forgotten about, and then take pictures of all of them. She then made a Powerpoint presenation of them all. My “art therapy” was to invite my friends to a Zoom Art Gallery Open House! What a joy! What a delight! What a healing!”

– L.N.

(old art peices, camera, Powerpoint, Zoom, my friends)

“I couldn’t believe the power a cup of organic flour in a pie plate had on me! What healing there was as I slowly, tearfully wrote the word, “NO!” in the cool of the flour. Using pantry items took therapy to the next level.”

– R.S..
